The implementation of due process is crucial for ensuring accountability among all members of a democratic society, including political leaders. However, in many African countries, leaders are exempt from the rule of law, leading to a lack of trust in due process and widespread corruption. This corruption has led to economic dysfunction in many countries, with political leaders being the only citizens who appear to benefit.


The question of how Africa has come to its current state of underdevelopment is a common concern among its citizens. While there are many possible answers to this question, one significant contributing factor is the pervasiveness of certain religious practices that discouraged political participation and leadership ambitions. This has instilled fear in many Christian homes and prevented qualified and faithful individuals from pursuing political careers. Another significant factor is the lack of ethnic integration, which has hampered development in countries like Nigeria, often referred to as the "giant of Africa"
